Planning our trip

It began with the purchase of a photo safari at the Hillsboro Schools Foundation auction. It will be an 8 day safari in Zulu Nyala in South Africa. I had heard that South Africa was a beautiful place and had always wanted to go. And what the heck, it was for a good cause.

Next, we got some guide books and did a little reading. Sounded like a train trip across the country would be a good way to see the landscape, Cape Town as the destination. ( did I mention that there is wine country very nearby ;-)

A fancy camera is required. Now, if only I had a Computer Science degree to work the damn thing! I do know someone who is good with that sort of thing...

And so it begins
